The Associated Press reports the number of producers who are recalling their peanut-laden goodies is increasing:

 

GKI Foods Inc. is recalling a variety of peanut candies, because they could be contaminated with salmonella. This is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. No illness has been reported.
